Each session will have a different theme.

Session 2 (Nov – Dec): “Table to Garden” – Indoor & Outdoor Functional Ware

Theme: Design ceramics for both the dining table and the garden.
Focus: Balance of form, function, and durability.

Week-by-Week:

  1. Concept sketches: mugs, herb planters, serving dishes.
  2. Throwing or handbuilding small planters and dishes.
  3. Creating drainage solutions & decorative rims.
  4. Carving and stamping botanical patterns.
  5. Glazing with food-safe and outdoor-safe finishes.
  6. Final touches & “table-to-garden” setup showcase.

Session 3 (Jan – Feb): “Clay + Nature” – Botanical Impressions & Organic Forms

Theme: Use plants, flowers, and natural textures as tools and inspiration.
Focus: Organic shaping and surface imprinting.

Week-by-Week:

  1. Collecting and pressing leaves, seeds, bark into clay tiles.
  2. Creating bowls and platters from pressed-texture slabs.
  3. Sculpting freeform vases or pods inspired by seed shapes.
  4. Layered slips & washes for organic depth.
  5. Glazing with earthy palettes & oxides.
  6. Display & arrangement in a natural-style installation.
