Each session will have a different theme. Session 1 (Sep – Oct):

“Vessels with a Story” – Narrative-Inspired Pottery

Theme: Create functional or sculptural ceramic vessels inspired by personal stories, myths, or poems.
Focus: Storytelling through surface design and form.

Week-by-Week:

  1. Introduction to storytelling in ceramics; sketching personal vessel ideas.
  2. Handbuilding base form (slab, coil, or pinch method).
  3. Adding sculptural or carved narrative elements.
  4. Surface texturing, sgraffito, and underglaze illustration.
  5. Glazing to enhance narrative details.
  6. Group story circle & final presentation.
