Each session will have a different theme.

Session 1. September–October: “From Line to Life” — Foundations & Freedom in Drawing
Learn how to make your drawings feel alive through expressive line work, dynamic shading, and proportion mastery. Each week explores a new subject—still life, figure sketching, perspective, and experimental mark-making—culminating in a personal final piece that blends technique with your own style.

Session 2. November–December: “Watercolor Journeys” — Light, Layer, and Flow
Discover the luminous beauty of watercolor painting. From transparent washes to vivid layers, students will explore landscapes, botanicals, and abstract interpretations. The final weeks focus on combining techniques for a polished, gallery-worthy work just in time for the holidays.

Session 3. January–February: “Chiaroscuro & Beyond” — Dramatic Light in Painting
Step into the world of contrast and drama by learning how to harness light and shadow in both drawing and painting. Using charcoal, ink washes, and acrylics, you’ll create moody portraits, glowing still lifes, and atmospheric scenes.

Session 4. March–April: “Mixed Media Magic” — Collage Meets Paint
Push beyond the brush! Explore how acrylics, inks, pastels, and collage elements can come together to create textured, layered works of art. Each week builds toward a bold, personal mixed-media piece that tells your own visual story.

Session 5. May–June: “Urban Sketch & Plein Air” — Capturing the World Around You
Learn the joy of quick, observational sketching and location painting. Class time includes outdoor sessions (weather permitting) to capture streetscapes, gardens, and architecture, combining pen-and-ink work with watercolor and gouache for vibrant on-location pieces.
